ABOUT

Artist / specializes in Media arts

Born in Kobe in 1981,  Lives and works in Aichi, Japan. I position my artwork creation as one of the ways to trace society, and mainly create and present works through various media such as video and installation as a means of expression. In my work, I focus on creating and presenting works using various media, such as film, video, and installation. My works explore themes such as the relationship between “seeing and being seen,” “invisible boundaries,” and “imagining a nonexistent whole from partial information.” I pick up fragments of events and information that don’t leave a lasting memory in our daily lives, as well as overlooked objects, and use a production method that is like taking something out of a mold, using various media to create my works. In recent works, I have been exploring a technique of three-dimensional image expression using the entire space by overlapping multiple images with multiple projectors.
