Yushi Yashima

The city as seen through the eyes of a cat is a video work that captures the free movement of a cat through urban living spaces by attaching a small camera to the cat. This work captures the free movement and perspective of cats by attaching a small camera to them and allows us to discover the charm and function of the city from a new perspective that humans often overlook. Additionally, this video work proposes a perspective of freely enjoying the city as a structure deprived of meaning, by viewing it from the perspective of animals and breaking away from the human-centered world.

　《みるネコ》は、ネコに小型のカメラを取り付けて、都市の生活空間を自由に移動する様子を撮影した映像作品である。この作品は、ネコが持つ自由な動きや視点から、人間が普段見落としがちな都市の魅力と機能を新たな視点から発見する。また、動物の目線で都市を見ることにより、人間中心の世界から脱却し、意味が剥奪された構造としての都市を自由に楽しむ視点を映像として表現する。
